A superb week sampling Czech workings; gotta love those 749s!

I stayed in Ceske Budejovice (Hotel Gomel) which makes a good base for a rail based holiday. North is Plzen, and line 200 for Praha with 749 hauled regional trains. North-east for Praha, with the hourly regional services, east for Veseli nad Luznici, Jindrichuv Hradec (narrow gauge line) and Jihlava, and south-east for Gmund NO, south for Summerau/Linz. I didn't make it west for Volary.

Veseli nad Luznici-Gmund NO (749 & wheelie bin)

Jihlava-Brno (754)
Also, a 742 hauled working in to Jihlava, probably from the Havlickuv Brod direction.

All in all, a beautiful country with superb railways.
