Welcome to my gallery containing railway scenes from the late 1980s to the present day. I've been interested in railways since I bought an Ian Allan ABC from the York Railway Museum and ticked off my first locos including Nos. 46026 & 55008.
I started taking pictures whenever I could borrow a camera and bought my first SLR in December 1986, a Zenit 12XP. My next camera was an excellent Pentax P30. I bought my first digital camera a few years ago and purchased a digital SLR Canon EOS300D SLR in August 2004. I've upgraded to a Canon EOS30D now.
My favourite shots are from the period when you could roll up to Paddington, Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Clapham Junction or Waterloo and see locos left right and centre.

| 13 | Another 234 was caught by my lens, 234 551 0. It is seen at Fredersdorf S-Bahn station. It was cold and windy waiting for it (plus it was late) so I had given up to the point I was actually standing at the end of the platform when it came in to view. After a sprint I just got to the bridge in time!
